Is Reiki or Sound Bathing a religion?
The distinction between these practices and religion comes down to the presence of dogma, worship, and specific religious structures:
Religion: A system of faith and worship, often with a specific theology, set of moral principles, and ritual practices observed by a community of followers.
Spiritual Practice: Activities that support an individual's personal journey toward self-awareness, personal growth, and a deep connection to self. It does not require adherence to a particular faith or doctrine.
What physical reactions to expect of Reiki or Sound Bathing:
Heightened Awareness/Disorientation: You may feel a bit more sensitive or slightly disoriented as you return to your regular environment.
Emotional Sensitivity: You might feel more emotional
Mild Discomfort: In some cases, temporary, mild discomfort or a slight "flu-like" feeling can occur as the body releases toxins.
What to do after a session:
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to help your body flush out any "toxins" and support the healing process.
Rest: Allow yourself time to rest and integrate the experience.
Be Gentle with Yourself: Recognize that the most significant impact of the session may occur after you leave, and that the experience can vary each time.
